Plastic Types
Oasis
Goliath’s Oasis plastic is blended with grippy, firm and durable polymers. Oasis plastic offers our most durable blend without sacrificing the great feel that everyone is looking for. Oasis plastic tends to be more stable than our Old Testament plastic and takes much longer to beat in. If you’re like the average disc golfer and trees are your friend, Oasis plastic is perfect for you!
OT - Suregrip
The OT-Suregrip putt & approach discs are slightly stiff in the rim and pliable in the flight plate. These discs in the soft flex in half at 14-18 lbs of pressure and cover a wide range of putting styles and are still firm enough to be used for driving and lay up shots. OT-Suregrip can come from firm all the way to very soft.
Platinum
The Platinum blend is made with different ratios of TPU (Thermo-Plastic-Urethane) and a co-polyester TPE (Thermo-plastic-Elastomer). This ratio consists of 70% recycled material. Producing a durable disc that is a bit more grippy on the surface than pure TPU. Platinum discs are always solid in color and are slightly less stable than Diamond and more over stable than Suregrip in most runs.
NT (New Testament)
Goliath’s NT plastic is blended with grippy, firm and durable polymers. NT plastic offers our stiffest and most overstable blend without sacrificing the great feel that everyone is looking for. NT is very similar to our Oasis plastic just a touch more firm. If you’ve wanted a slightly more stable mold of ours, this is the plastic to go with.
NXT
NXT (Nylon Xtra Tuff) is a prototype material developed through a unique collaboration with the talented team at NYCOA. This proprietary blend represents the pinnacle of durability in plastic blends available today. This material is currently being utilized in a very limited and special partnership with Gateway Disc Sports, ensuring that this advanced blend is tailored specifically for our discs.
OT (Old Testament)
Goliath’s OT (Old Testament) plastic was our first plastic line released. Polymers were blended to create the perfect tacky feeling but still just the right amount of firmness. OT tends to be a little less stable out of the box than the same mold in our Oasis blend. If you’re looking for a plastic that when it hits the chains it stays for a little more affordable price then OT is perfect for you!
Diamond
The Diamond blend is made from a high-grade TPU. These blends create the best durability and grip on the surface of any disc on the market. Typical runs are clear, translucent, or opaque and are more over stable than Suregrip or Platinum in most runs.
